CONNECT INTERNET TERMS OF USE
In order to guarantee the highest level of customer satisfaction, we have provided this Agreement to document our Internet access terms of use. Payment for Internet Service demonstrates that the Customer understands and accepts all terms of this Agreement. Use of Connect services demonstrates that the Customer understands and accepts all terms of this Agreement.
Payment will be accepted in the form of checks, most major credit cards, cash, or money orders. Returned checks are subject to a $25.00 service fee. All signups or payments for Internet service through Connect are non-refundable after either one-week from initiation (payment of setup fee) or three hundred minutes of use on the account, whichever occurs first. No "reup" fees will be refunded. Refunds will be made by company check or a credit to the Customer’s credit card. In absolutely no case will a cash refund be given. All refunds must be processed by Connect. This process takes no less than 1 month from the date of request.
Connect’s services may not be resold or redistributed in any way without direct written permission from Connect. Any abuse of this can result in account termination. The Customer understands that all information on the Internet, except within www.conninc.com, is not controlled by Connect. The reliability, accuracy, or moral character of such information is in no way responsibilities of Connect, Inc. Customers are responsible for his/her viewing choices.
Internet accounts are meant for the enjoyment of a single person or family from a single machine. Customers may access our service from any number of machines (for instance, work and home), but are limited to one concurrent login. Similarly, Connect provides technical support for the Customer on one machine only. Due to the potential for abuse, all logins are limited to eight hours per session. Accounts reaching the eight hour session time will be automatically disconnected, but may reconnect immediately if so desired.
The Customer shall understand that all charges associated with their account are completely their responsibility. Long distance access charges, charges incurred while online, or any other fee associated with the account is the sole responsibility of the Customer. It is also the Customer’s responsibility to verify the access number you choose to dial is indeed local. Any misuse or network abuse of your Internet access could lead to account termination. Examples include chain letters, harassment, mail bombing, spamming (sending unsolicited e-mail), and the use of idle timeout programs, nuke programs or IRC bots. Connect reserves the right to determine what it constitutes Network Abuse, and shall be the sole arbiter in such disputes. In the event an account is terminated for network abuse, all monies paid will be forfeit. Connect does reserve the right to monitor traffic across Connect’s network without notification.
In the event of connection or billing inquiries, customers have access to Connect's Support Staff. Support is available by phone weekdays from 10:00 AM to 7:00 PM and Saturday from 9:00 AM - 3:00 PM. Connect is not responsible for long distance charges incurred as a result of dialing an internet access or support number. Note that the scope of Connect support is limited to providing the customer with a working dialup connection and web email connection. Connect support cannot assist in non-Internet problems such as operating system installs, hard drive errors or non-booting computers. Should a Customer's computer be incapable of accessing the Service due to repairs or replacement, Connect will extend the Customer's expiration date to reflect the lost time.
Due to the Customer's computer configuration, telephone configuration, in-house telephone line conditions, distance from telephone company switch, modem configuration, and many other factors beyond our control, Connect cannot guarantee the Customer any connection speed. Connect support will, at the Customer’s request; help troubleshoot possible causes of slow connections that originate on the customer's computer. If by reason of acts of God, fires, strikes, present or future governmental regulation, legislation or for any other cause or contingency whatsoever Connect is prohibited from carrying out the terms of this Contract, it is understood and agreed that Connect shall have the right to cancel this Agreement. Internet access through Connect is provided without warranty. Connect's liability for any and all losses or damages to Client resulting from Connect's failure to perform any part of the services specified herein shall in no event exceed the price of the Contract with respect to which losses or damages are claimed. In no event shall Connect be responsible for incidental or consequential damages. This Agreement is non-cancelable by the Client or by its successors or assigns. This Agreement embodies the entire Agreement between the parties and there are no collateral Agreements, oral or written, not contained herein. Connect reserves the right to change this document at any time without notice. This Agreement shall be interpreted under the laws of the State of North Carolina.
