Setting up your iMac for Connect

The iMac is simple to set up!. Just add these settings, and you'll be ready to go in no time. Please note that Apple has relelased some critical updaters to the iMac modem and OS that you'll want to download after getting connected.

    Setup Instructions
    1. Click Open Apple then Setup Wizard
    2. What would you like to name this Connection? : Connect
    3. Select Pulse or Tone Dialing: Tone (in most cases)
    4. Do not select Ignore Dial Tone
    5. Phone number for your configuration: Enter your Local Access Number
    6. What name do you use with this service: Your username
    7. What is your password: Your Lowercase Password
    8. Does your ISP require that you use PPP connect script to login: NO
    9. DNS address for this configuration: 207.87.193.1 and 150.159.216.202
    10. What is your email address? : your email address ( usually username@conninc.com )
    11. What is email password for this config: your password
    12. What is the quoting character you would like to use? >
    13. What is the email account for this configuration? your username@mail.conninc.com
    14. What is the email host for this config? mail.conninc.com
    15. Click Go ahead.

    At this point your iMac should be ready to access the Internet. Note that Connect is a V.90 ISP at all dialin locations, so verify that your iMac has a V.90 modem driver.
