Connecting with Windows 3.x
- To begin, Insert Disk 1 into drive A:
- Click File
- Click Run
- At the command line, type a:\setup.exe
- This will begin installation of Microsoft Internet Explorer 3.0
- The Instructions below should work with most systems. Review them carefully.
Get on the Internet or Internet Connection Wizard
- You will see the Get Connected screen, Click Next.
- Under Setup options click the circle beside Manual. Then Click Next.
- You will see a screen that says Welcome to Internet Setup! Click Next.
- You will then be asked what method you want to use to connect to the Internet.
- Choose Connect Using my Phone Line, then Click Next.
- You will be asked if you want to use windows messaging, choose No, then Click Next.
- When asked for the service provider name, type Connect then click Next.
- Enter the Dialup Number local to you (select from the list below). Remember! Connect is not responsible for your phone bill, should you dial a number outside your local calling area!
- Type in your username and password and click Next.
- When asked how you obtain your IP Address. Choose My ISP assigns me one. Click Next.
- If prompted to disable file and printer sharing on the internet, choose Yes.
- You will need to enter the following DNS Information:
DNS Server: 207.87.193.1
Alternate DNS: 150.159.216.202
- Click Next.
- For Email, both the POP3 and SMTP servers are mail.conninc.com
- We recommend checking mail through our Web.Mail system. Simply connect to the Internet and type in http://mail.conninc.com in your Internet Explorer address window, then hit Enter.
- Click Finish to complete the setup for connection to the Internet.

(One of the cost savings that allow Connect to offer very affordable Internet access is not mailing postal invoices) If you do not check your Connect email, you will not receive these reminders and your account may expire. Your email account is automatically started when we process your application. Should you not know how to access it, simply contact Connect support and we'll be glad to help you get started.
